DELTA put the finishing touch on a memory game for people with dementia
After a knowledge collaboration with DELTA, the design company Nicodesign has brought its stimulation tool for people with dementia closer to the market.
Sensory Memory Game (SEMO) is the name of the product, and the idea is to help elderly people with dementia to recall memories by using their senses individually or in groups.
New EMC directive will become effective in 2016
”Are there any new technical requirements, we must comply with?” asked one of the audience when 25 EMC specialists on 2 June 2015 gathered at DELTA in Hørsholm at an EMC Club meeting to hear about the implications of EU’s new EMC directive. There was great interest in the topic - just like the day before, where 52 EMC participants participated in the meeting in Aarhus.
Australian delegation considers Danish rehabilitation concepts
WHINN - Week of Health & INNovation - attracts participants from all over the world. Two of Australia's largest healthcare organisations have also announced their arrival. In particular, they want to have a closer look at a new rehabilitation concept introduced by Odense City Council.
"We look forward to welcoming the delegation and show them how the programmes work in practice; and of course we hope in return to receive new inspiration, that we can use in our work going forward. It is fantastic that we can use WHINN as leverage. The fact that so many will participate during the week, and that they can participate in other WHINN activities, means that suddenly many new doors open up for exchanging knowledge and experience", says Helene Bækmark, Director of Department of the Elderly and Disabled, Odense City Council.
Testing large equipment - exciting challenges
Ballast water systems for ships, uninterruptible power supplies for critical applications, and large control cabinets for industrial installations are examples of large units, that increasingly are being tested by DELTA. The specified test can’t be performed on these large units without implementing creative adjustments, that require advanced engineering judgement. Read how DELTA handles this challenge.
