Learn to understand Physics of Failure
I hope you have entered the new year in happy spirits and are ready to participate in the many exciting activities that will take place throughout 2017.

Development of reliable products and knowledge of how this can be achieved with Physics of Failure, is an issue of interest for many companies. We are therefore launching, in cooperation with SPM, a new P2PoF Club (Reliable Products based on Physics of Failure) where renowned international speakers will talk about reliable product development, the physics behind products that fail and related topics. The club is especially aimed at product developers who want to learn more about why products fail. Read more about the club to the right in the newsletter.

Enjoy your reading!

RetroSign GRX
RetroSign GRX enhances road owners’ performance inspection of traffic signs.

New technology in the RetroSign GRX allows road owners across the world to capture more and better quality information about traffic signs.
An update on selected standardisation areas
Most products must comply with many requirements before product launch. Get an overview of the latest development within 6 areas of standards, so you can stand stronger with your product in the regulated markets.
SPM ERFA 17: HALT/HASS
Exchange experience with knowledgeable colleagues and exploit the potential in HALT and HASS even better. Highly Accelerated Limit Testing (HALT) is a development tool that cost and time efficiently identifies weak points of products under development, while Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) identifies weak points related by the production process.
Will It Flip? Sound activated light
What will happen with this light, when we put it through an EMC HALT test in our reverb chamber at DELTA Aarhus?
Standardisation group: ITU-R WP6C RG25
New methods for perceptual evaluation of next generation sound systems.
As part of DELTA SenseLab’s ongoing participation within the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Nick Zacharov, Senior Technologist at DELTA SenseLab, was nominated to chair the rapporteur group (RG25, 2015-2016) on audio quality assessment within the Radio Communication Sector.
Expansion of Denmark’s second largest cruise port
Today only a limited number of large ships are able to call the Port of Rønne as the inadequate manoeuvring space requires sharp turns when entering the port. An expansion of the port has the goal of making room for bigger cruise and cargo ships. FORCE Technology has created a virtual model of the new port in their ship bridge simulators.
